Our Mission is to enable seniors in our community to overcome life's challenges by facilitating their independence and enhancing the quality of their lives, helping them to remain in the comfort of their own homes.
Our targeted population is Senior's 60 years of age and older, but we do have some programs for the disabled citizens of Baker County. Services provided are not limited to low income residents, there are programs available for everyone.
Funding for our programs is provided by Northeast Florida Area Agency on Aging, Department of Elder Affairs, Florida Department of Transportation, Baker County Board of County Commissioners, City of Macclenny, Town of Glen St. Mary, United Way, Fee's for Service, Older America's Act, Fundraising and Donations. Even with this funding we have to turn away potential clients or place them on a waiting list because there isn't enough funding.
Your contribution no matter how small could feed one senior a hot meal or provide a family with much needed respite. Just like older buildings that we try and preserve, the Senior's are a part of our Heritage. We as a community can pull together to help our most vulnerable citizens, our seniors, live a quality life.
We are here to help the Senior's of Baker County overcome life's challenges by facilitating their independence and enhancing the quality of their lives, helping them remain in the comfort of their own homes as long as possible.
We would like to thank you in advance for your support of The Baker County Council on Aging and services we provide to our community.
